Toward the end of last year, our Air Quality and Public Health team held the Annual UK Review Meeting on Outdoor and Indoor Air Pollution Research. Since the mid-1990s the event has been the main national meeting of the UK’s experts in the field of air pollution and health research, as well as policymakers. Their most recent event, spread across two days, brought together over a hundred attendees each day in Bristol. The first day was targeted towards academics, government scientists, policymakers, and others to present and discuss the latest research findings on outdoor and indoor air pollution. The second day aimed to inform wider stakeholders of developments, giving them the opportunity to contribute to, and comment on, future work plans. Both events were extremely well received, with attendees sharing their thoughts: “Really fantastic opportunity to hear from researchers that I can use to inform business cases and support the transformation of paediatric respiratory services.” “Met and exceeded my expectations. There is a lot to process, but everything I learnt at the sessions will inform our work and push harder on equality and equity, evidence, and more collaborative work.”
