About us

The UK Harbour Masters Association shall represent by way of professional advice and support the views of Harbour Masters to the UK Government and devolved administrations, to organisations representative of port authorities, and to other persons within the United Kingdom and Crown Dependencies and elsewhere concerned with marine operations, both within and near port waters. To exercise and promote the safe and efficient conduct of marine operations in ports, in accordance with the Port Marine Safety Code and the Guide to Good Practice on Port Marine Operations and promote the interests and professional competence of Harbour Masters in the United Kingdom and Crown Dependencies.’ Formed over 30 years previously the organisation is a unique professional Member Association consisting of Harbour Masters, their Deputies, port marine operations officers, harbour managers and commercial bodies that serve the port sector, and other appropriate personnel and organisations. Geographically, the Association consists of seven regional constituencies that cover all mainland and island ports in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

    Executive Officer - UK Harbour Masters Association

    We look forward to welcoming over 200 UK Harbour Masters Association Members and Industry Stakeholders to The Victory Services Club, Marble Arch, London next Tuesday & Wednesday. An exciting range of topics and presentations await our delegates. We thank Maritime Minister Mike Kane, MP for providing his opening message of support and Capt Lohn Lloyd, CEO the Nautical Institute who shall deliver the conference keynote address. To top this off, our President Capt Paul Brooks shall be launching the new Association promo & awareness Video in front of our Conference delegates. Storm Bert shall have passed and i am sure the sun shall be shinning! We look forward to seeing everyone in London.

  • The UK Harbour Masters Association is delighted to introduce 'British Super Yacht' as the latest Commercial member to join the Association. British Super Yacht are bringing together the globally renowned quality and excellence of the superyacht industry around the British Isles. One of its business objectives is to continue to establish the ‘British Super yacht Route’ for large yachts around the Harbours and anchorages of the United Kingdom. We look forward to working with British Super Yacht in establishing the ‘British Super yacht Destinations & Directory’ publication where we look to invite harbour authorities & Marinas, where appropriate, to become involved in attracting activity and increase revenue from the 'Super Yacht' sector.
