This year's Index was the first to include a representative sample of international applicants - and we've found out about their motivations for studying abroad, how they feel about finances and their housing preferences. We've completed 11 refurbishment projects this year benefitting more than 5,200 residents. The work, from London to Glasgow, cost £32million and is part of our growing refurbishment programme. We're excited to be in the running for a major industry award tomorrow. We've been shortlisted for the UK Company Award in the EG Awards 2024. Finalists proved they had been market leaders over the 12-month period. See how our Durham project has progressed over the past 12 months! Our Rushford Court property is undergoing an extension with a two-storey hub for amenities being built in front of it. This will set Rushford Court up to potentially be Durham University’s 18th college. The property has 358 bedrooms and the build is set to finish later this year. Silencing self-doubt is no small task, and I’m still figuring it out myself in my new role at Unite Students. But I believe there’s power in sharing the journey – because we’re all on our own paths, learning to quiet the inner critic in our own ways.

We’ve donated more than £2million worth of items to a major health charity: https://lnkd.in/ekvpNVkc Our customers and colleagues have donated their pre-loved items to the British Heart Foundation. Clothes, accessories, electrical equipment, utensils and books have been donated in the reception areas of our properties around the country since 2017. The BHF funds research into heart and circulatory diseases. We’ve also been trialling pop-up shops in our properties to sell donated items back to residents to raise more money for the #charity.
