  • Happy Christmas from all of us at UKWA! Here is a message from our Chief Executive, Clare Bottle: “UKWA’s milestone anniversary – 2024 The Year of Warehousing – has been an incredible success. We've raised our profile significantly within the industry, and with government stakeholders; delivered a remarkable programme of events, launched our CPC qualification, and provided unprecedented value to our 1,000 member companies.   A heartfelt thank you goes out to all our members for their support and a special thank you to those who hosted the 80 warehouse visits. We are excited to build on this momentum with ambitious plans for our membership in 2025.  We wish all our members and their teams a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year!”

  • 2024 The Year of Warehousing...   We are reflecting on our 80th anniversary year, and what an incredible year it has been!   This year has marked a significant turning point, putting the spotlight on warehousing as discussions reached new heights, industry standards were elevated, and our community expanded like never before.   Our 2024 highlights include: 🟥 We welcomed over 150 new members into the UKWA community, enriching our network and enhancing collaboration within the sector. 🟥 The launch of our Warehouse Manager Certificate of Professional Competence course has been a resounding success, with 27 learners achieving their qualification to date. 🟥 We actively participated in 8 Government consultations, ensuring our members' voices were heard and solidifying our role as ‘The Voice of Warehousing’. 🟥 Our events attracted over 1500 attendees, including 8 Roadshows, a Parliamentary Reception, our Awards for Excellence Annual Lunch, a Golf Challenge and many more. 🟥 We introduced our Policy Manifesto, outlining our eight key asks of Government and calling for a more favourable policy environment for our members and the wider sector. 🟥 Clare Bottle, our Chief Executive, travelled over 10,000 miles across the UK, visiting 80 different warehouses and showcasing the innovative and fast-paced environments of our industry.   Looking Ahead to 2025: As we turn our focus to 2025, we are excited about the events and initiatives on the horizon. We remain committed to championing the warehousing sector through our four-pillar mission: 🟥 We Talk About Warehousing 🟥 We Raise Industry Standards 🟥 We Build Community 🟥 We Help Our Members 2024 has been a milestone year for UKWA and we look forward to continued success and collaboration in 2025. 🥂
