    📢 Funded PhD Studentship Opportunity Learning from children and young people with complex needs about their experiences of trauma informed care: What works and why? Since December 2023 the University of Lincoln have been working on a multi-phase evaluation project with Lincolnshire’s Children and Young People’s Complex Needs Service (CYPCNS), an integrated care systems established to promote collaboration between health, social care, criminal justice services, and wider voluntary service partner organisations in the support of the wellbeing of children and young people with complex needs. The University of Lincoln are now excited to offer a fully funded SENSS Collaborative Studentship PhD as part of this ongoing collaborative work to develop understanding of the experiences of young people with complex needs regarding the support they receive, their journey to recovery and the impact of trauma and its relationship with neurodevelopmental processes and links to behaviour. The research is an interdisciplinary project led by a supervisory team in the School of Social & Political Sciences, the School of Psychology, Sport Science and Wellbeing, and the School of Medicine, with an additional supervisor within the collaborative partner service. The methods will reflect this interdisciplinarity, including both quantitative data analysis, and qualitative co-production research with children and young people, and the studentship includes a 3 month placement with the CYPCNS. 🗓️ Applications are now open.   • The Doctoral School would like to invite all UoL PGR students to participate in the annual Doctoral School Postgraduate Research Showcase 2025, which will take place over the 25th and 26th February 2025. The Conference is a great opportunity for you to discuss and promote your research, as well as meet and network with other researchers from across the university. During the showcase, selected PGRs will give a ten minute online presentation, present a poster, or take part in the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition, where participants will present their thesis topic in just three minutes. The conference aims to cover a broad range of subject areas. Submissions for alternative modes (e.g. performance, spoken word, etc.) of presentations are also welcome. There will be awards for the best poster, best presentation, and best Three Minute Thesis presentation. Submitting your abstract for a presentation/poster/3MT presentation: You may submit your presentation/poster/3MT abstract by filling out the application form linked here: https://lnkd.in/epx-KD_p Submitting an abstract to present a plenary session: We welcome application to present one of the Plenary sessions, these will be 20-30 mins in duration and need to be on a subject which is suitable to all subject disciplines. The deadline for all submissions is 10th January 2025. The same application form will be used for all sections, if you wish to apply for more than one section, please fill out the form again for each one. Shortlisting and selection: The Doctoral School will notify successful applicants by 22nd January 2025. Booking your place: The conference will mostly take place online, with just the poster competition providing a networking opportunity on campus. It will all be free to attend. An update regarding how to book a space to attend the conference, including joining instructions, will be circulated closer to the event.
