We are proud to announce we are setting our sights on the Formula Student 2026 Full Class with IMechE! With the new facilities at University of Plymouth and the support of great staff and students working towards this effort, we plan to establish UoPR as a consistent competitor in FSUK. Our philosophy is allowing all students to progress along their degree field to help them gain a competitive advantage when it comes to applying for placements and jobs. Our engineers follow ideas through from initial research through design conception all the way to manufacturing. This gives our students invaluable knowledge where their strengths, weaknesses and, most importantly, passions are. Watch this space and expect to see more of us from now on...

RS Grass Roots are proud sponsors of the IMechE Formula Student Competition, and we created The Build Fund to support race teams around the world with hands-on technical learning as they bring their car designs to life. The entries this year showcased some very interesting ambitions and direction for developing more sustainable solutions with most teams pushing to electrify their cars. We had a whopping 78 entries from 21 different countries and we were so impressed by the standard of applications! The 30 lucky winners of the Build Fund will be provided with £1000 worth of RS products, and you will be hearing more from the teams over the coming months as they share their stories on RS DesignSpark.
