  • Colombia has just taken a monumental step in banning child marriage. It wasn’t an easy journey. After eight failed attempts, lawmakers have finally passed the bill following heated debates. The new law, titled "They Are Girls, Not Wives," is the direct result of years of persistent campaigning by advocacy groups and politicians. But the fight doesn’t end here, because many countries still allow child marriage. It's crucial to keep pushing for change worldwide. Let’s continue advocating for the rights and futures of all children!🙌🏽 #EndChildMarriage

  • Imagine a secret script designed to empower women through centuries of silence. Nüshu, also known as the “script of tears,” is a writing system created centuries ago by women who weren’t allowed to go to school in a male-dominated society. Using its graceful, flowing letters, women shared their struggles, told their stories, and found support in each other🌸 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗻ü𝘀𝗵𝘂 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Through workshops, art, and social media, young women like Chen Yulu are bringing this unique tradition back to life. Nüshu is more than just writing - it’s a powerful stand against old restrictions and a lasting symbol of sisterhood. From tattoos to hair clips and poetry, nüshu shows us that women’s voices remain strong, even when spoken in whispers✍️ Do you know of other hidden treasures that celebrate women’s strength? As she puts it, “𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻.” How has age or experience enriched your craft or perspective? • The gender health gap is real - and it’s costing women their health🚨 Did you know that diseases affecting men receive 𝗧𝗪𝗜𝗖𝗘 as much funding as those affecting women? It’s no surprise, considering women weren’t even required to be included in clinical research until 1993! Yes, you read that right - modern medicine was built largely on research done with men, leaving women’s health as a “big mystery” 🧠 But here’s the thing: Women make up over half of the world’s population, so why are we still fighting for proper research and funding in healthcare? It’s time to close the gender health gap. Women deserve better. We need more funding and prioritisation in research, but currently, 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 4% 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗥&𝗗 𝗴𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵. Let’s start by pushing for more awareness and greater investment in understanding women’s health issues. #GenderHealthGap #WomensHealth #WomenInResearch
