Missed appointments cost the NHS £1 billion every year ❤️🩹 As much as 12% of rural populations in the UK experience transport poverty, and this has a direct impact on how people access NHS services. In this video, our Co-Founder Stevie Revill explores how uMove Rural is being used to identify transport issues - like bad connections and high costs - for rural citizens when trying to access healthcare. By providing evidence-based insights, uMove Rural will show how integrated, multi-modal transportation solutions can improve healthcare accessibility in rural communities and save the NHS millions every year. We’ll be showcasing uMove Rural at the Connected Places Catapult Summit in London on the 19th March – come and meet us to learn more about what uMove can do! Ticket link in the comments 👇

This April, UrbanTide is helping local authorities around the UK to deliver the Government's £500 million Warm Homes: Local Grant. 🏠 ✅ Our groundbreaking AI-powered data insights tool, uZero, maps, identifies and predicts fuel poverty across any UK council area. Using this precision-targeting technology, local authorities and their delivery partners can transform how they deliver this home energy grant, ensuring resources are prioritised on the households that need it most. More details in the article below, or request a demo to see uZero in action: https://lnkd.in/eeS2DmeM

Last year, Octopus Energy commissioned The Wise Group to help it identify households in England that were eligible for the Government’s Warm Home Discount. 🔎 🏠 Using UrbanTide's AI-powered fuel poverty detector, uZero, The Wise Group's on-the-ground advisors were able to proactively target and engage with the most vulnerable households quickly to provide energy support and ensure they received the bill rebates they were due. We're extremely excited to be working with AppyWay on a new #AI-powered tool that responds directly to the Government's call to action on integrating the UK's transport networks. 🚍🔁🚊 We’re developing a powerful data-sharing platform - uMove_Fusion - that breaks down data barrier silos and opens up kerbside data in the UK for the first time. By combining data on #ActiveTravel and #PublicTransport with data on legal restrictions at the kerbside (such as parking bays and bus restrictions), uMove_Fusion gives transport planners and local authorities a more holistic, transparent view of the road network and competing demands on kerb space. UrbanTide reposted this
📊 Did you know? You have the right to request raw data from public agencies across the EU. I just finished delivering another round of #OpenData training to folks in IRE with UrbanTide. One thing we covered was the EU Open Data Directive (2019/1024). The directive came out in 2019 and now agencies are putting it into effect. That means a number of things, including a new data request system. This works similar to FOI, but instead of a response being a scan or a piece of paper (or even verbal explanation), a response under this system is raw data, licenced for open reuse. You can make a request for pre-existing data by citing the directive, and anyone (regardless of citizenship) can do so. The reply window is 20-days, 40 for more complex requests. #datajournalism #opengovernment

uMove is off to Venice! 🚲🇮🇹👏
🇮🇹 Super excited to be heading to Venice this week! 🇮🇹 I’ll be ticking this wonderful city off my bucket list while attending the Innovator Academy for UrbanTide's uMove_Venice project, in collaboration with Love to Ride. Find out more on the flyer below ( 👉 Scorri per la versione in italiano) I’m looking forward to connecting with innovators and stakeholders to discuss uMove_Venice, our initiative to promote cycling adoption and shift Venice toward sustainable, low-carbon transport. While there, I’m eager to explore Venice’s mobility landscape and gain insights into local travel behaviours. If you have experience with mobility in Venice or would like to engage with us on this project please reach out! Collaboration is key, and we’re thrilled to work with Servizio Civile - Comune di Venezia Toyota Mobility Foundation, Challenge Works UK, and WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities to create a scalable model for sustainable mobility. #Venice #SustainableMobility #ActiveTravel #DataDrivenInnovation #VeniceInnovatorAcademy
