Love it or hate it, AI is here to stay! #AI is transforming our world in so many exciting ways - but like all tech, it has its downsides too. One big concern… Voice cloning scams. According to a survey from Starling Bank, a surprising 28% of UK adults say they’ve been targeted by an AI voice cloning scam. 🤯 So, how does it work? Voice cloning uses AI to replicate the voice of someone you trust, like a friend or family member. Fraudsters then use it to contact you, pretending to be them, and ask for money or sensitive info. Here’s how you can stay one step ahead: ✅ Be cautious if you get an unexpected call or message, even if it sounds like someone you know. Especially if they’re asking for money. ✅ Verify by contacting them another way - just to double-check. ✅ Set up a “safe phrase” with trusted friends and family to quickly confirm their identity if you’re ever in doubt. Being aware of common scams and knowing what to look out for can make all the difference.
