As Movember comes to an end this month, we want to say A HUGE THANK YOU to those at VET.CT who took part. Their involvement raised money for and awareness of #Movember - a charity dedicated to men's health. Over the years, Movember has helped fund over 1,250 men's health projects including those on prostate and testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. LVS takehomes! #ICYMI this 'Balancing the Unseen' panel, including VET.CT's Liz Barton and Victoria Johnson, had some fantastic takehomes and tips for juggling life and work: 💡Set boundaries - both individually and as a workplace 💡 Have the discipline to stick to those boundaries - simple things like having a place to put your phone down so you can be present with your family, or agreeing team members not on shift should silence their work notifications. 💡Be kind to yourself! Extend the same understanding and compassion to yourself that you do to others. At work, psychological safety is vital for kindness to flourish. 💡Ask for help - whether that's support from friends and family, or having a coach or counsellor, we all need a helping hand at times. Employers should provide tools and individuals then access them.
