Congratulations CergenX as they announce FDA breakthrough device designation for its #Wavedevice, which is used for #neonatal #brain #monitoring. Additionally, the FDA accepted the company into its Total Product Lifecycle Advisory Program (TAP), which helps with the rapid development and access to medical devices. The Wave device, developed by CergenX, a spinout from University College Cork, uses AI to identify newborns at risk of #braininjury and provides real-time, non-invasive monitoring. This helps hospitals conduct expert-level #EEG assessments without specialist resources. CergenX plans to work closely with the #FDA throughout the development and approval process. Kudos to CEO Jason Mowles and team!
