Breaking News! Today Final Draft Guidance was released from The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) announcing that it will not approve the new drug, Ruxolitinib, for use to treat vitiligo through the NHS on prescription. Ruxolitinib is currently the only licenced treatment for vitiligo, and could have improved the lives of over 1 million vitiligo patients in the UK. Support our efforts to get Ruxolitinib (Opzelura) available to NHS patients! Ruxolitinib is currently the only treatment for non-segmental vitiligo licenced by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) in the UK. Last year the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) announced that it will not approve the new drug, Ruxolitinib, for use through the NHS on prescription, a drug that could improve the lives of over 1 million vitiligo patients in the uk. We have been advocating for improved treatments for vitiligo since the 1980s, and following our successful appeal of the decision we now have a new opportunity to share further feedback from the vitiligo community about the devastating impact that denying patients this treatment will have. This is our FINAL OPPORTUNITY to influence the decision, and your help has never been more important. Please help us write our patient response by completing our Ruxolitinib Appeal Evidence Questions form before the 25th January '25. Show how important this is by adding your voice to ours. Complete the form here: https://viti.li/123 Full information here: https://lnkd.in/ef8Y2EN8
