I caught a glimpse of the future today. Cruising up behind us was an electric truck! But not any old truck… A Volta Trucks truck! This little snippet of the future drafted past us whilst the #PauaRangers were out on a secret mission! And I got a cheeky wave from the passenger who was probably curious as to why three passengers wearing high viz in a little Zoe with crazy pink chevrons were staring at them! At Volta Trucks, ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our vehicles is a cornerstone of everything we do. A critical part of this journey is our Software Maturity Level (SML) validation process - a meticulous effort that ensures every feature meets our high standards before reaching the road. Here’s how it works: ✅ Initial Testing by Vehicle Integration (VI) Teams Our VI teams rigorously test the software features across multiple vehicles to evaluate their readiness for on-road use by Volta personnel. This is the first step in ensuring the features perform as designed in real-world conditions. ✅ Quality Validation for Customer Readiness Once the software passes the internal evaluation, our Quality teams step in to extend the testing, aiming for a customer release. We have been in SML validation for the Moonshot vehicle software - an exciting step forward! For context, the Moonshot vehicles are our very first customer vehicles. Feiten en cijfers: Volta Trucks presteert volgens verwachting. De cijfers bewijzen het: onze Volta-vrachtwagen levert de prestaties waarop we hoopten, en zelfs meer! In de afgelopen weken hebben we de Volta intensief ingezet om leveringen uit te voeren. We varieerden hierbij zowel qua afstand, qua grootte en zwaarte van de lading als qua tussenstops om bij te laden. 📊 Belangrijkste bevindingen: Realistisch verbruik: De actieradius die we in de tests behalen, komt overeen met de verwachte 250 km op een volledig opgeladen batterij. Verbruikspatronen: Op snelwegen merken we een hoger verbruik, wat te verwachten was, maar op stadsroutes blijkt de batterij zeer efficiënt. Aanpassing rijstijl: Onze testchauffeurs pasten hun rijstijl aan op basis van het traject, wat bijdraagt aan een efficiënter gebruik van de batterij en het minimaliseren van het verbruik. 🚧 Optimalisatie voor de toekomst: Momenteel gebruiken we het vaste design van de laadruimte, wat leidt tot verlies van laadcapaciteit. In de toekomst zullen we onze eigen "laadbak" op het chassis kunnen plaatsen, waardoor we de laadruimte kunnen maximaliseren voor onze specifieke noden. #LogistiekInnovatie #EVPerformance #DuurzaamTransport #Testfase #VPD *** Faits et chiffres : le camion Volta conforme aux attentes. Ces dernières semaines, nous avons intensivement utilisé le Volta pour nos livraisons, en variant les distances, l’encombrement des chargements, et les pauses consacrées à la recharge. 📊 Points clés : Consommation réaliste : L’autonomie observée atteint les 250 km attendus avec une charge complète. Modèles de consommation : Sur autoroute, la consommation est plus élevée, comme prévu, mais en ville, la batterie est particulièrement efficace. Adaptation du style de conduite : Nos chauffeurs ajustent leur conduite selon le trajet pour économiser la batterie et minimiser la consommation. 🚧 Optimisation pour l’avenir : Actuellement, nous utilisons un design standard pour l’espace de chargement, ce qui limite la capacité.
