Earlier this month, some of our Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in the Primary Mathematics Challenge—a fun yet tricky test designed to encourage out-of-the-box thinking and logical reasoning. Congratulations to all who embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, and a special shout-out to our four GOLD award winners: Jack, Jainam, Evie, and Rupert! Last week, the Juniors took us on an incredible journey with their performance of The Button Box! Year 4 dazzled with their acting skills, while Year 3 brought the energy with their fantastic dance numbers. The story of Grandma’s magical button box, unlocking adventures around the globe, was brought to life through captivating drama, song, and dance. Our Year 6 scientists completed projects on Charles Darwin over half term where they are given the freedom to choose how to present their learning. We've seen amazing posters, presentations, lego, diary extracts, videos and clay models. It is inspiring to see the range of ways the children express their learning and the care that they have taken over their projects. Two teams of Year 7 and 8 academic scholars are taking part in the GCHQ National Language Competition this week. This is a virtual competition where teams from around the UK compete against each other to solve language-based puzzles. Our children are certainly relishing the challenge. What a brilliant official photo of our U11 boys from the Canford Rugby tournament earlier this month where they were undefeated and came home with a trophy.  🏆 The boys are looking forward to further competitive matches ahead of Christmas, including an academy match against NMRFC this weekend and representing their houses in our Middles house matches next week. It was heart-warming to hear that Billy, in Year 8, loved his Year 7 Expeditions Week trip to the Isle of Mull so much that he returned over half term with his Dad to show him around this beautiful island. They followed the footsteps of the expedition trip, visiting the school house, the vast beaches and the waterfalls.
