It is an exciting time of year in our vineyard, we have véraison on our Divico and Cabaret (aka Cabernet) Noir vines which reminds me that we are only 5 or 6 weeks away from harvest. Our 2.3ha Divico field comes onstream this year giving us considerably more fruit to make our full bodied red wines. From last year's crop we made 1.7% of English red wine, in two years time we will be at maximum capacity producing 6% - 8% of English red wine.

New Product Launch - Oasthouse Divico We're thrilled to unveil our latest creation, Oasthouse Divico! An exceptional full-bodied red wine crafted to showcase our vineyard's unique ability to produce quality English red wine. Experience Oasthouse Divico with its intense deep purple hue revealing vibrant notes of ripe dark fruits, blackcurrants, and black cherries. The Divico grape variety, developed in Switzerland, has amazing capabilities in producing a high quality full bodied red wine in a cool climate, a real 'gamechanger' for English red wine. We are confident this the future of English still wine being capable of producing red wine every year. I can't believe our Oasthouse Pinot Noir 2022 has won another award, scoring a total of 90 points and awarded a Silver in the Decanter World Wine Awards. @decanterawards A snippet on the judges feedback include: “Attractive floral nose”, “Well-defined red fruits”. Decanter World Wine Awards has firmly solidified its standing as the world’s largest and most influential wine competition. Acclaimed for its rigorous judging process with wines evaluated by top wine experts from across the globe, the results are trusted internationally. We would like to extend our thanks to all the judges involved in the competition. This extends celebrations from last Thursday whereby our Oasthouse Pinot Noir 2022 was awarded ‘Highly Commended’ by the judges at the Taste of Kent Awards. It was only a month ago we also got our first award at the International Wine Challenge Awards. Stock is selling fast and we now only have limited stock of this award winning wine. https://lnkd.in/eSUKRjxG

To the best of my knowledge we are the only medium to large UK vineyard that produces more red wine than white and rosé combined. How do we do this? All is explained in my first podcast produced by The Food Rebels called Rebellious Vines: https://lnkd.in/ezCZZfJB
