Significant Strides in Sustainability at Watkins Payne! At the start of the year, we set a clear objective to reduce the carbon footprint of our website. Sunny, our Marketing Administrator, has worked tirelessly at the website to find ways to reduce carbon and has successfully reduced the carbon emissions of our website by 57% - equivalent to planting 29 trees or driving 1,350 fewer miles in a car! This work shows how every part of our operations counts, from engineering to marketing, and that each action can help reduce our carbon emissions and sustainability goals. Sunny Cadman is already planning further reductions for 2025, aiming even higher to try and make a positive impact on the industry by practising what we preach! #Sustainability #CarbonReduction #WatkinsPayne #InnovationForThePlanet #marketing #engineering

Congratulations to Watkins Payne for achieving an impressive 5.5 NABERS Energy rating. A fantastic milestone showcasing their commitment to energy-efficient offices. As the administrators for NABERS UK, we are committed to supporting all offices on their sustainability journey - discover more about NABERS UK Energy for Offices ratings: https://lnkd.in/ejmcQ_Zi
Our Sunbury office has renewed its NABERS UK Whole Building Energy for Office rating certification, improving from 5.0 to 5.5 Star. Therefore, we have set a new standard by achieving the first 5.5 Star NABERS rating of any type in the UK, following last year’s milestone of earning the first 5.0 Star. The improved rating reflects careful attention to building operations in the past year, along with further strategic improvements such as window replacement. Also, the staff have continued to embrace the need for pragmatic temperature controls and the use of natural ventilation when conditions permit. This achievement underscores our dedication, commitment and investment in enhancing the building’s operational energy performance year on year. https://lnkd.in/eJhTChev NABERS NABERSNZ CIBSE #engineering #watinspayne #buildingservices #london #sustainability #nabers #offices

It's great to see Garreth working in the STEM community. #engineering
Last Friday, I had the pleasure of attending a CoderDojo STEM event at Sutton Life Centre Library as a STEM ambassador. I spent the evening assisting secondary school students with programming in Scratch and Python—skills that are becoming increasingly essential in today's digital world. As someone who leverages programming to streamline workflows in my daily work, I found immense joy in guiding and motivating these young learners. It was truly inspiring to share my expertise and passion for technology with the community. #CommunityEngagement #CodingForKids #TechEducation #STEM #Programming
