Very excited to be launching the Confederation of Co-operative Housing (CCH) Wayshaper Sustainable Homes Toolkit. https://lnkd.in/eXb--yRN Developed off the back of two years worth of work with a range of pioneering CCH Member Housing Co-ops looking at ways to retrofit their homes to take on the challenge of the United Nations' SDGs. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aim to transform our world. They are a call to action to end poverty and inequality, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy health, justice and prosperity. Sounds like something we should all consider, eh? The Confederation of Co-operative Housing has made its commitment and is using the SDGs to shape its focus and support its members, and the Co-operative sector more widely, in decarbonising their communities. https://lnkd.in/ehZCcyge This is a whole house, fabric first retrofit planning toolkit for carbon, cost and comfort. This toolkit helps residents and homeowners explore ways to retrofit their homes to make them more energy efficient, thereby reducing carbon emissions and energy costs, increasing comfort and well-being, and protecting the building fabric. It was an utter pleasure to work with Jim Holt from Agitprop whose skill in communication and process development was instrumental in making this toolkit *work*... A big shout out to Blase Lambert, Jane Cameron & Leah Eatwell and all the CCH member Co-ops who worked with us when testing the BETA versions of the toolkit for all their support and feedback.
