Here at TIG, we love any excuse to bring our people together, and as the colder months draw in, we can’t help but reminisce about the sunshine and good times from our Annual Summer Conference. These gatherings not only give us the chance to recognise and celebrate our success as a team, but they also serve as the perfect platform to share the vision for the next phase of our journey. They help us forge connections across the business, as collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. But best of all, they’re where lasting memories are made. Investigo: Where it all began Back in 2003, Investigo was founded with a simple vision: to connect the right people with the right opportunities. Fast forward to today, and that vision has grown into a global talent solutions group that’s built its reputation not just on what we do, but how we do it. Through credit crunches, global pandemics, and everything in between, Investigo has always been the beating heart of our business. It’s where it all started—and it’s where our values of authenticity and determination have the deepest roots. With over 300 amazing people working across London, St Albans, Milton Keynes, Windsor, Birmingham, Amsterdam, New York, Philadelphia, and San Diego, we’ve become specialists in more than 20 areas of recruitment. But even with this incredible growth, we’ve never lost sight of who we are or why we do what we do. At Investigo, we’re not just recruiters. We’re partners for the long term, here to guide and support you—whether you’re building a team or advancing your career. It’s this personal approach, combined with our deep expertise, that makes us different. So here’s to Investigo, the brand that started it all, and to the exciting journey ahead. Who knows where else it will take us —but one thing’s for sure, we’ll be doing it with the same passion and purpose we started with. Our Executive Search brand, InX, hosted another unforgettable Leadership Summit on Wednesday. A huge thank you to our keynote speaker, Jamil Qureshi, and a special mention to our very own Rebecca Boulton for the passion and momentum you continue to bring organising such brilliant events for the TIG network. Paul Collier Matt Smith Derek Mackenzie Natalie Whittlesey
Last night, we hosted the incredible InX Leadership Summit at Mortimer House, welcoming over 70 C-suite leaders. A huge thank you to everyone who made this event such a success, especially our keynote speaker Jamil Qureshi and Live Illustration Ltd. for capturing the energy in a stunning live artwork! Three standout insights from the evening: 🔹 Focus on what works – Amplify what’s bringing results rather than overhauling what's not. Small adjustments, like a 1-degree shift, can drive big, long-term impact. 🔹 Think, feel, act – For true commitment, people need to feel ownership; let them help shape the mission, not just execute tasks. 🔹 Mission vs. mission statement – There’s a profound difference between being on a mission and simply having a mission statement. Thank you again to everyone who joined us, and let’s keep pushing boundaries together! Last week, some of the TIG team volunteered at The Felix Project in Poplar, working together to sort and distribute surplus food to support those in need across London. Did you know the stark reality is that many people in the UK have just £3 a day to spend on food? It really highlights the critical impact initiatives like The Felix Project make on a daily basis—and just how vital it is to lend a helping hand. How did our people find it? In their words: humbling, rewarding, and physically challenging. At TIG, we regularly offer volunteering opportunities that bring together people from all parts of the business, allowing them to connect in a new way and build relationships outside the office, all while working toward a common cause. Supporting our communities is a core value here at TIG, and we’re proud to see it in action, championed by Nick Baxter and our leadership team. Special thanks to Rhys Ivey for organizing this day of service. We’re already looking forward to the next opportunity! Check out some snapshots of the team in action. You’d be right to think we have a number of BD powerhouses in our business. After all, relationships are at the core of what we do, and building them is what our people do best. That’s why this year’s BD Champion Award was such a highly contested one. But there was one clear, deserving winner - Luisa Victoria Namadila. A key player in our BioTalent brand, Luisa has consistently demonstrated her remarkable ability to build, nurture, and maintain relationships. Her passion, determination, and unwavering commitment to driving business development have been instrumental to our growth. Luisa’s work ethic and strategic approach have made her an invaluable part of the team, and we are incredibly proud of her achievements. Thank you for everything, Luisa, and congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! We’re excited to see all the amazing things you’ll continue to achieve. It's hard to miss that today is World Mental Health Day. While world days are great for raising the profile of important topics, mental health isn't just about one day a year—it's about every day of the year. Did you know this year’s theme is Mental Health at Work? It's a reminder of how important it is to create a supportive environment where we can all thrive. We asked our Wellbeing & Engagement Committee (WEC) for their top tips on maintaining good mental health at work, and here’s what they had to say: ▪️ Take time for yourself: Whether it’s stepping outside for a quick walk or pausing for a deep breath, regular breaks help you recharge and stay balanced. ▪️ Start the conversation: Talking openly about mental health with your colleagues or manager helps break the stigma and creates a more supportive, understanding workplace. ▪️ Tap into the resources available: From coaching and therapy to meditation tools, there are plenty of ways to prioritise your mental health. Don’t wait until things get tough—these resources are here to support you anytime. ▪️ Set clear boundaries: Protect your work-life balance. Knowing when to unplug and say no is key to avoiding burnout. ▪️ Get moving: Physical activity can boost your mental well-being. At TIG, we believe mental health should always be a priority. By supporting one another and taking steps to care for ourselves, we can create a workplace where everyone feels empowered to thrive. Shout out to our WEC committee and all our internal initiatives that help TIG to provide a supportive environment to us all. Last night, our WomenWiseData community, championed by Kalina Tomova, collaborated with LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group)'s WINTech, spearheaded by Chloe Cope and Sarah Hepworth, and the BEING network, led by Widade Deguerre and Tamara J. Dews, MBA, to host the event Empowered Together. They were joined by expert panellists - Sanjeevan Bala, Manivannan (Mani) Janakiraman GCB.D, and Marilyn N. A. - who shared their invaluable insights. A special thanks to Triona O'Keeffe for moderating the discussion, and to Steven Fuller, Director and Founder of Race in STEM, for adding further insight to the discussion. As expected, the session was packed with insights and perspectives. Here are a few of our key takeaways from the event: >> Allyship is essential for creating equitable teams and workspaces of the future. >> Mentorship vs. Sponsorship: Sponsors advocate for you behind the scenes—find those who will champion your success. >>How do we ensure everyone feels a sense of belonging at work? This experience is unique for each individual but vital for strong team dynamics. >>Are we building products and solutions with everyone in mind? Diverse engineering and data teams are crucial to preventing exclusion in the products we create. A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this event possible, and to all who attended. Building communities is a core part of what we do here at TIG, helping to drive change and create opportunities is what we do best.
