An email hit our inbox this morning from Differing Minds that added as a timely reminder that Disability is not a niche issue; it affects us all - if not today, then likely in the future. And here’s why: 🔹 11% of children are disabled 🔹 23% of working adults are disabled 🔹 45% of pension-age adults are disabled (Source: Scope) Think about what that means. If you’re fortunate enough to reach pension age, there’s nearly a 1 in 2 chance you’ll experience disability, even if you haven’t already. So, if you don't care, you should! Accessibility isn’t just about helping others; it’s about creating a world that works for everyone. Whether as individuals, workplaces, or societies, we all have a role to play in making accessibility a priority. Lee Petchey, our LifeWorks ERG Lead for Disability told us: "Today is International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a perfect opportunity to highlight that Disability isn’t about ‘them’ and ‘us’; it’s about all of us. The sooner we embrace accessibility as a shared responsibility, the better prepared we’ll be to create inclusive spaces that benefit everyone. “Part of my role within LifeWorks is to work with other disabled colleagues across the business to understand ways that RS can be even more inclusive. This involves fostering a safe environment to talk about ourselves and discuss any challenges. This in turn will help us to educate and build supportive allies across RS. “From my experience I would already recommend RS as a disability positive employer, but we’ll be working to ensure that this is a common thread across our business.” Let’s work together to create a better world, where inclusion isn’t the exception - it’s the norm. #Disability #Accessibility #IDPD #InclusionMatters #WeAreRS #AccessibleWorld #LifeWorks

Why aim for gold when you can go platinum? 😉 Since joining the 5% Club in 2018, RS Group plc has proudly aligned with its mission—welcoming 322 apprentices and interns worldwide and using the UK levy to upskill 608 employees with critical skills. This commitment has now earned us the prestigious Platinum recognition, and we couldn’t be prouder! Tim Beasley, Early Careers Manager, summed it up perfectly: "I am incredibly proud to be a Platinum member of the 5% Club. Only 31 of the 1003 members reached this standard last year, so we are leading the way in developing the skills in our people that we need now for a better tomorrow." #WeAreRS #WeMakeEverydayBetter #Platinum #Award #OurPeople #MakingAmazingHappen

Sustainability is important. Customers know it. Suppliers know it. But let’s be honest - it’s not always easy to figure out which products are more sustainable and which ones just say they are. We caught up with Danny Hobson to find out how our industry leading framework, Better World Products, is changing that. #BetterWorldProducts #Sustainability

Today, on World AIDS Day, we unite to champion the fundamental right to health for everyone, everywhere. This year’s theme, “Take the Rights Path: My Health, My Right!”, calls on global leaders and citizens to address the inequalities that continue to hinder progress in ending AIDS. Why does this matter? 🔴 37.6 million people are living with HIV, yet many still face barriers to accessing the care, treatment, and support they need. 🔴 Stigma, discrimination, and inequality remain significant obstacles - impacting the health, rights, and dignity of millions. At RS, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace and society by: ✔ Advocating for Equal Access: Supporting efforts to ensure everyone can access the health services they need without discrimination. ✔ Challenging Stigma: Encouraging open, informed conversations that break down myths and misconceptions around HIV/AIDS. ✔ Driving Positive Change: Promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion as core values in all we do. Many of our colleagues wear the red ribbon as a symbol of solidarity, remembrance, and hope - hope for a future where health is a right, not a privilege. Together, let’s tackle inequalities, champion human rights, and take the right path to end AIDS once and for all. The picture below is from our colleagues Liz and Ulrica’s day volunteering in Manchester with George House Trust during a previous World AIDS Day event. Liz said: "I consider myself very lucky to work for a company like RS who give us this time to truly give back. During the day, we sold Red Ribbons at the People’s History Museum in Manchester. Red Ribbons are the symbol of HIV awareness, and are worn to show solidarity with people living with HIV around the world. "In the evening, we sold candles for the emotional candlelit Vigil held in Sackville Gardens, Manchester to remember those lost to HIV. I know I speak for both of us when I say it was incredibly moving to be a part of.” #WorldAIDSDay #MyHealthMyRight #EndAIDS #EqualityForAll
