⛳ TALA IS OPENING ITS FIRST RETAIL STORE!! ⛳ A 2,000 sf Flagship on London's Carnaby Street, coming Spring 2025! It's been a dream in the making for a long time. Our brand and products most come to life when you can experience them, the quality, the attention to detail, the flattering fits 🍑, in person. We will always love digital but a store allows us to showcase all of this, inside an immersive world of TALA, which we will also use for events, activations and more. Carnaby's iconic history and location in the heart of Soho alongside other beautiful global brands was a no-brainer to put down our roots. A lot of time and work has gone into making this moment possible, and some thank yous are in order 🙏: To our many Investors for supporting our vision for TALA retail and in particular Jason Mahendran who came to see me in a tiny meeting room, in our first office, excited that one day we should have 600 stores. 🦾 Investors, supporters like that make all the difference. To my incredible team TALA who have put in a lot of work to get us to this point and have lots ahead to get to opening. ❤️ To our inexhaustible services partners (DM me if you're looking for a great broker or property lawyer!) who took my calls from the gym at 8pm and spent many hours pounding pavement with me. To our friends at other brands who generously offered commercial advice, operational advice, site visits and beyond, notably Paul Donoghue CEO at Orelbar Brown, Tom Broughton, Founder/CEO Cubitts, Demetra Pinsent CEO at Charlotte Tilbury. And last but not least to Shaftesbury Capital PLC our landlords (!) who have been great to be in business with already. This store is a love letter to our customers 💌 . I can’t believe I’m actually writing this, but after nearly 6 years of TALA, and 2 years of pitching & planning, I can finally tell you that we’re opening our first ever TALA store, our Flagship on Carnaby Street in Central London. I think if I told 22-year-old Grace who was fed up with the activewear on the market, that she’d be opening a store on one of the most iconic shopping streets in the world, she would simply pass away, and to be honest 28 year old me is close to doing the same.  For us, having a store isn’t just about having another place to shop. It’s like finally having a clubhouse for our community, where we can talk about how long we spend in design meetings debating over seams & gussets, where you can actually feel the difference in quality between a TALA black legging & a fast fashion dupe, where we can have amazing events and get closer with our community than ever before. (Plus I’m planning on moving in & living under the tills). I truly don’t underestimate what a milestone this is for us as a business (especially a female-founded, owned and run one) and it’s genuinely all down to the incredible community we have built, your willingness to trust us over & over again, to tell us what straps you like best, or when you want more croissant PJs 🥐 I’m so proud of the incredible TALA team, it’s really all them. (look at us on Carnaby! We’ve done it!) There will be more details coming soon as we get closer to the launch in spring, I cannot wait to take you along with us. TALA was admitted to the British Fashion Council earlier this year, and last night team TALA joined them for the 2024 Fashion awards. It was a beautiful celebration of London, of Fashion and of Creativity. The speeches by the winners were incredibly inspiring, and humble. To paraphrase JW Anderson accepting his award, fashion by definition describes cultural moments that come and go. There's always room for the next. "So come and get it." ✨ Thank you to Shaftesbury Capital PLC Meta and the British Fashion Council for hosting team TALA and the BEST night!

TALA in Times Square!! My little business! This feels like such a full circle moment, to have gone from trying to set up a shopify store from my university bedroom in the evenings after lectures, to now having our very own international billboards celebrating our global expansion using Shopify feels completely surreal (we’re paying customers but they’ve gifted us the billboard!). What a moment!! Thank you so much to everyone who has been part of the journey so far, we truly have the best customers in the world and I can’t wait for you to see what we have coming. Side note: I got the photos at 4am and stayed up for 2 hours too excited to sleep 😭
