This week our team members Emma Salah and Sonja Wittenberg were guests at the incredible Lloyds Banking Group Diverse Supplier Day. What a fantastic way to collaborate with new and diverse business owners, looking to join the Mitie and Gather & Gather network of suppliers and access a new route to market. We had alot of fun engaging with team members at the Chester offices and showcasing some of the fun community engagement activities we use as part of our advocacy and recruitment for Well Grounded Jobs CIC programmes. Delighted to see Sarah Tait John Needler Nigel Forbes Jessica Clark Chantelle Stockwin do our 'Skittles Challenge' too! Charlie Needler did a fantastic job showcasing our delicious coffee, now being served at the LBG Harbourside offices too. On the 28th November we held our first ever fundraising gala and raised an incredible £68,821.48 from ticket sales, a raffle and our Crowdfunder UK prize draw of a customised La Marzocco machine. Hosted by Jay Rayner the evening was every bit as magical as we had hoped for. So many thank yous. To Company of Cooks De'Longhi Group Bain & Company La Marzocco for helping raise this incredible amount through sponsoring the evening. To our Graduates, everyone who came, donated a raffle prize and celebrated with us, we really showed the power of collaboration and community.

Our Graduates are the greatest testament to Well Grounded CIC and the impact we have had since launching our social enterprise in 2016. Thank you Zakaria Osman for your kind and inspiring words. We are so proud of you and everything that you have achieved.

This month, we celebrated our 4th Traineeship cohort delivered in partnership with our sponsors Alpro. Thank you to the entire team at Danone for making this such a special programme. This autumn, we celebrate the 1-year anniversary of the launch of our Community Blend coffee partnership between Well Grounded CIC Company of Cooks and Union Hand-Roasted Coffee. This specialty coffee is testament to the power of partnerships.   Community Blend supports both those at origin in Peru and communities here in the UK, providing skills and training to those unemployed looking to access careers in the coffee industry. In the last year, this has helped Well Grounded CIC support 181+ people from the local community through our outreach and employability programmes.   When you choose Community Blend, you're not just enjoying a deliciously sweet coffee, you're supporting a brighter future for communities near and far.
