Our Head of Client Service and Women’s Sport Lead, Sharon Bennett, was invited to talk about the power of storytelling in grassroots sports. Sported along with their learning partner Ecorys, organised a day of in-person learning workshops for community groups who have received grants under the Go! London programme. We work with some of the largest names in sports, but we also appreciate the impact sports and exercise have at grassroots levels and on communities. Sharon spoke about how storytelling can be used to communicate the impact local programmes are having on communities, together with raising awareness of programmes amongst potential partners, donors and funders. Storytelling can be a game-changer for grassroots sports organisations, helping build emotional connections, communicate impact, and attract new supporters. Sharon’s talk explored the fundamentals of impactful storytelling, including understanding your audience, creating relatable narratives, and leveraging digital tools like TikTok and Canva for maximum reach. #GrassrootsSports #Storytelling #DigitalMarketing #CommunityImpact

Congratulations to the Black Foils of the New Zealand SailGP Team for securing their first event win of the 2025 season at the Emirates Dubai Sail Grand Prix, presented by P&O Marinas this weekend! 🏆 This marks the Kiwis’ second consecutive victory in Dubai, having also claimed the win here in Season 4. Led by Peter Burling, the team delivered a consistent performance throughout fleet racing, finishing at the top of the leaderboard to qualify for the Final alongside Emirates Great Britain SailGP Team and the U.S. SailGP Team. Despite multiple lead changes and shifty wind conditions, the Kiwis overtook the Americans and British to cross the line first and take the win. Black Foils driver Peter Burling shared his thoughts: "It was an awesome effort by our group to make it into the final this weekend. Then we got the chance to win it all and pulled out our best sail at the end. We seem to love these Middle Eastern events — that’s three wins in a row for us in this part of the world.
