As we come to the end of 2024 I am feeling in a reflective mood. Goodness what a year it has been!
2024 has been my first full year as Managing Director of Wessex Health Partners, and it started on a high as we welcomed some new staff to the core team as well as adopting ‘honorary’ team members working across our partners. We are however just the oil, or perhaps sometimes the glue, the real work is very much ‘led by partners, delivered by partnership’. So what do I mean by this? I’ll get to that….
The common purpose, and why our 14 partners have come together is clear – working in partnership, to accelerate improvements in health and care through research, innovation and training. Each of the partners of WHP (see picture) has considerable expertise in research, innovation, education and health and care delivery. Whilst all have the ability to excel individually, there is much to gain through more deliberate and effective partnership working between the WHP partners and wider stakeholders including local authorities, voluntary sector organisations and the communities we serve. Furthermore, working together ensures our region is a major contributor to life sciences research and innovation, come and work with us! Easy!
Well, perhaps not ‘easy’ but most definitely made easier by the commitment to collaboration of the partners and the little bit of oil and glue provided by the core team and adoptees!
It is now very tempting to go into a long list of what we have delivered this year – but for that you will have to wait for our 2024/25 annual review. In the meantime, if you are curious, please do take a look at all of the news on our website. https://lnkd.in/e-XAsK4R
