Our DEI speaker series continues and this month, which is men’s mental health awareness month, we had the privilege of welcoming Dr.Alex George to our office for an insightful and impactful session surrounding mental health with a particular focus on men’s mental health. Dr Alex George, who is the UK youth mental health ambassador, shared his expertise and personal experiences to help us understand the challenges men face in addressing their mental well-being. His message was clear: it’s okay not to be okay, and seeking support is a strength not a weakness. A huge thank you to Dr Alex George for inspiring us to keep the conversation going; and a special thank you to Emily Treacher and Safia Pal from the DEI committee for organising the event, along with Jeremy Shallow, CFA for co-hosting the conversation. #Ourpeoplemakethedifference

Lest We Forget
Remembering the fallen. Today, the Lloyd's Underwriting Room fell silent for our annual Remembrance Day service. Our Chairman, Bruce Carnegie-Brown, welcomed esteemed guests including War Widows, Far East Prisoners of War, the Lord Mayor of London, Chelsea Pensioners, and representatives of the Royal British Legion Lloyd’s and City Branch. A Guard of Honour was provided by HMS President Royal Naval Reserve, Number 17 Company (Coldstream), G Company 7 Rifles, 1st Battalion The London Guards and the South East and City of London NE Sector Army Cadet Force with members of the Lloyd's Military Network also in attendance. The Lloyd's Choir performed before the wreath laying ceremony, and the Lutine Bell was rung ahead of the Last Post being sounded. #RemembranceDay #LestWeForget #LloydsPeople

Westfield Specialty (International) is delighted to announce our partnership with The Girls' Network’. Their mission is to inspire and empower girls aged 14-19 from the least advantaged communities by connecting them with a mentor and a network of female role models. Over the next 12 months, eight Westfield Specialty (International) employees will join this initiative as mentors, helping to guide and inspire these fantastic young women.
