US on-trade spending set to rise in 2025! A new report from CGA by NIQ reveals that one in four consumers in the US are planning to increase their spending when visiting bars and restaurants this year! Younger consumers (21-34 years) are leading the charge, with 30% expecting to spend more, followed closely by those aged 34-55. This trend signals optimism in the on-trade sector as consumers loosen their budgets after a period of financial strain. Spirits in the ‘ultra’ price bracket are seeing significant growth potential, and 60% of people who try a new drink at a venue are likely to purchase it again at home. However, venues must also cater to the growing health and wellness trend, with 42% of consumers abstaining during Dry January.

Filmed in the stunning Scottish Highlands, over three days, the series features Ford as himself, exploring Glenmorangie’s rich traditions and heritage – from wearing a kilt to sipping whisky by the fire. Directed by actor Joel Edgerton, the episodes are filled with charm, humour, and unexpected moments. “The whole process of filming was full of unanticipated joys,” said Ford, who embraced the lighthearted spirit of the campaign. The first 8 episodes are now live, with more to come later this year.

🥃 Whisky Recipes: The Secret Behind the Spirit The word recipe might conjure images of Sunday pancakes or secret family dishes, but in whisky-making, it’s the blueprint for crafting iconic flavours. From 200-year-old Scottish distilleries to modern craft bourbon houses in the US, every distiller follows a recipe to produce that signature taste fans love. But how are these recipes created? It’s not so different from perfecting pancakes – vision, trial, and error lead to a unique formula. Starting with the desired flavour profile, distillers work backwards, tweaking elements like: 🔸 Grain varietals and yeast strains 🔸 Fermentation time and temperature 🔸 Still cuts and recycling methods 🔸 Maturation choices like cask type and ageing 🔸 Final filtering and dilution Each decision influences the whisky’s character – whether it’s the light peat of a young single malt or the fruity warmth of a high-ABV dram. Every element of the process, from cloudy worts to lightly peated grain, is balanced to craft the final masterpiece. Behind every bottle is a recipe, a blend of artistry and science that whisky makers call their own. 🥃✨

Happy Burns Night! 🥃🎉 We all know that Robert Burns wrote Auld Lang Syne, but here are some facts you might not know! 📜✨ ✍️ Burns wrote his first poem at just 15 years old. 🌍 He almost moved to Jamaica to work at a sugar plantation, but the success of his poetry kept him in Scotland. 🎶 With more than 700 poems and songs, Burns left an incredible literary legacy. 🥤 In 2009, he became the first person to appear on a commemorative Coca-Cola bottle! 💸 Despite his success, he tragically died in poverty with only £1 to his name. 🚀 In 2010, astronaut Nicholas Patrick took a book of Burns’ poetry to space, completing 217 orbits of Earth! 🎉 The first Burns Night celebration took place on 21 July 1801, when nine of Burns’ friends gathered to mark the fifth anniversary of his death and celebrate his life. Tonight, we raise a glass to Burns – his words, his legacy, and his contribution to Scotland’s rich cultural heritage. 🥃
