WHP Telecoms had the pleasure of spending the morning at John Sutch Cranes Ltd where our back office planning team received an overview of legislation around lifting, the detail that goes into a lift plan, and a ride in a man basket to boot! This gave our Planners an appreciation of how the lifting equipment they help to deploy functions in reality, and we are really thankful to John Sutch Cranes for the opportunity.

Our CNFE apprentices continue their journey with a day of Rosenburger Connector training. The training was arranged by our own Mark Job, led by Rosenburger's Shane Ward and Ben Cordery, and kindly hosted by our Logistics partner, G-Com. The apprentices had a fun and informative day in the classroom as they continue to add to their learning portfolio. #CNFE #Apprenticeships

WHP Warrington has had 4 colleagues hit their 10 year anniversary this month. Our chairman Terry Flanagan MBE gave Chris Roberts, Aislinn Rowe, Catherine Miller and Louise Johnson their awards along with a few words of gratitude. Great to see more and more of our colleagues hit these long service milestones as we continue to make WHP a great place to work.

This week, WHP Telecoms Limited was proud to attend and sponsor the annual The Institute of Telecommunications Professionals (ITP) Awards in London! We were especially honoured to sponsor the ‘Apprentice Champions’ award, as nurturing the next generation of talent, professionals, and engineers is something we are deeply passionate about. Huge congratulations to the winners, Boldyn Networks, and all the other incredible winners and finalists from the evening. Special shout out to our very own Callum Craig for being a finalist in the ‘Telecoms Surveyor of the Year’ category – what an outstanding achievement! #ITPAwards #TelecomsTalent #FutureLeaders #ProudSponsor #WHPTelecoms #ApprenticeChampions

WHP recently had the pleasure of hosting Cellnex UK and Scottish Government for a ministerial visit at one of the remote rural sites that forms part of the Scottish 4G Infill programme (55 masts), S4GI013 at Auchenhessnane. A belated celebration of the programme completing, this site now has VMO2, Vodafone, 3UK and EE all live. An inspiring day learning about the transformative effect the connectivity has had for local residents and businesses, not least Nith Valley Alpacas who shared with us their infectious passion and gave us a good insight into Alpaca etiquette and herd dynamics (lots of synergy with corporate life!). We also learnt about the mining/panning for gold that used to go on in the vicinity, there’s gold in them there hills!” Iain Brown treated us to one of his field charcuterie experiences too so we were well fortified against the less than perfect weather.

Great to see Ciaran, Alfie and Luke, three of our CNFE apprentices, testing their ability to climb and work at height. Of course, this was under the supervised and safe conditions that XI Training provide, and all three successfully completed their first practical challenge! Great to see and well done lads! #CNFEapprenticeship #XItraining

We are proud to sponsor the ‘Apprentice Champions’ award at this year’s Annual The Institute of Telecommunications Professionals (ITP) Telecoms Awards ceremony in London. As the Telecoms industry enters a pioneering era in nurturing the next generation of talent, professionals, and engineers, it is crucial to recognise and celebrate these significant contributions. Good luck to the nominees in all categories at this event, in particular our very own Callum Craig who is up for ‘Surveyor of the Year’ award.

The team delivered ahead of schedule with excellent communication, meticulous planning, and a strong focus on quality, health, and safety were key to the project's success. This achievement highlights the team's adaptability and efficiency in delivering high standards in the ICP role. #WHPTelecoms #ICP
