🦒 Geoffrey’s back on the road spreading the toy joy this February!   This weekend, our Darlington store team alongside the beloved Geoffrey the Giraffe had the pleasure of welcoming children and their families as we opened our latest Toys“R”Us shop-in-shop. Featuring a key range of products and activities from top toys brands, plus an impressive Geoffrey the Giraffe statue, this new shop-in-shop offers a world of fun and imagination for all our customers in Darlington. And, the adventure doesn’t stop there… 🦒Geoffrey will be making stops at eight more stores this Saturday, in Buxton, Dorchester, Haywards Heath, Helensburgh, Henley-on-Thames, Lymington, Northallerton and Tavistock as we look to extend our toy range in these locations and continue to bring the Toys“R”Us magic to even more of our High Street stores. #ForEveryJourneyTheresAWHSmith #ToysRUsKids

Supporting mental health in the construction sector 🏗️   Our store openings programme across the UK means we are proud to be a major direct and indirect employer in the construction sector.   Yet workers in construction are some of the most at risk groups likely to experience mental health challenges in the country. Driving a culture of support and openness across the sector from all areas is vital to achieve change and ensure those most at risk receive the support they need.   That’s why we recently became a Supporter of Mates in Mind, joining hundreds of organisations from across construction and related services, to drive positive mental health in and through work both for colleagues across our teams and supply chain. We’re proud to be a Supporter which means our teams and supply partners across our projects will have access to vital support, training and resources, as well as fundraising for Mates in Mind to continue making a positive impact in people’s lives.   Together we can be a mate and be the change.   #ForEveryJourneyTheresAWHSmith

Investing in our rail stores network 🚆 As part of our ongoing investment in our UK Travel store estate we recently delivered three major rail store upgrades.   Just before the close of 2024, London King’s Cross and Charing Cross both reopened following significant upgrades, along with our historic store in York station, with increased product ranges and improved in store experiences in each location.   Whether it’s the first commute back or the next holiday, our stores in UK Travel are set up to support every journey along the way 🎆   #ForEveryJourneyTheresAWHSmith

As 2024 draws to a close and we look back at the year, a highlight for us was the wide range of new travel store openings across the UK and internationally ✈️ We opened a wide variety of new stores and formats across key travel hubs in many different locations from London to Birmingham, Budapest to Chicago.
