The evening included a sumptuous BBQ, dancing and a raffle which raised £2,400 for the charity, Mind. Thank you to our wonderful business partners for generously donating the prizes. Williams Shipping are delighted to be taking part in a film commissioned by Solent Careers Hub Careers Hub who are highlighting the fantastic apprenticeship opportunities in the Solent area. The aim of the film is to showcase apprentices in their work environment and discover which aspects they enjoy in their role and to encourage young people to start their career with an apprenticeship. Ella, one of our marine apprentices, introduced Jo Bartlett-Hubbard from Bartlett Hubbard Films to her daily tasks of maintenance, painting & upkeep of vessels; checking the engines, oil & generators onboard, and assisting in operating our vessels around Southampton port. She also gets involved in projects around the coastal waters of the UK. The film will be launched to coincide with the National Apprenticeship week 10-16th February 2025.
