Reflecting on another action packed week at Cardiff City FC Community Foundation. We joined colleagues from Wrexham AFC Swansea City AFC Foundation Newport County AFC and EFL in the Community to explore how we can build on the impact that our Club Community Organisations have in Wales. Had to check out Deadpool in the process! We announced a new partnership with South Wales-based contractor WILLIS CONSTRUCTION. They join Toward, Hodge and Cardiff City Supporters Club as official Cardiff City FC Community Foundation partners. We supported #WhiteRibbonDay to raise awareness of domestic abuse. Following a workshop, our male students and staff have pledged to create safer, more inclusive spaces for everyone. For #IslamophobiaAwarenessMonth, our learners took part in a workshop on culture, religion, and respect. Our Primary Education Team showed your support for LGBTQ+ people in sport through the #RainbowLaces Campaign. We hosted a Higher Education open evening where young people got to find out more about our degree programmes in partnership with University of South Wales and EFL in the Community. We closed out the week at the IoD Wales Winter Lunch. Great to connect with business leaders and hear from inspirational guest speaker Jon Bridge.
