The use of agtech in assessing plant and soil moisture to maximise the effectiveness of precious irrigation water will be the focus of a workshop being held this Thursday (23 January) in McLaren Vale. Click here to register: https://lnkd.in/gmfe7BBV Taking place at the McLaren Vale and Fleurieu Visitor Information Centre as part of Wine Australia’s regional program, the workshop will explore how and when vines use soil moisture and the influence of moisture levels in soil and how this knowledge can be used to improve grape quality and quantity. Information presented on the day will draw on data from the Stump Hill Vineyard which is using new technology to determine plant moisture levels and whether irrigation is reaching the vine. How to map vineyard changes over time to make good re-working decisions will also be discussed.
