Post on Pitch day results: Scepticism. “No market,” British education “levelling,” and “competitiveness” aren’t needed—or so some jury members and parents feel. But there is a bright side: • We might secure a potential partnership (details to come). • Some parents even thanked us for the project’s existence :) • There’s a proposal to reformat Olympiads as corporate-style events to foster critical thinking development within companies. Plan: This academic year, we’re fully committed to exploring what can be achieved. In June, we’ll decide the next steps: • Continue as we are, • Reformat into something new, • Or close the project (keeping training open, but otherwise pausing activities) and direct our focus elsewhere. Mathematics will now be conducted in English. Turns out children here for two years or more don’t connect with longer Russian terms, like “multiplication - proizvedenie,” but understand all the English terminology quite well.
