Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming back the inspiring volunteers and Tessa from the Hackney Mosaic Project! Our talented Level 2 Illustration learners presented their incredible designs and received valuable feedback as they prepare for an exciting live brief: transforming one of their concepts into a large mosaic piece celebrating WM College’s 170th anniversary. In the coming weeks, learners will pitch their ideas to a panel, with one design selected for the final transformation. We are so proud of what they have created so far and can’t wait to see the chosen piece come to life! Cuts to Adult Skills Fund 🚨🚨 College Principal and CEO Dipa Ganguli OBE, supports HOLEX’s letter to the Department for Education, urging action on the recent 3% cuts to the Adult Skills Fund. These cuts risk 80,000+ learners losing access to courses and could lead to 3,000 job losses. As HOLEX Chair, Dipa Ganguli OBE calls on the government to reverse these cuts and protect adult education, which is key to building a skilled workforce, supporting mental health, and boosting the economy.
