🌍 Human Rights Day – December 10, 2024 🌍 This Human Rights Day, we reflect on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which enshrines the fundamental rights and freedoms that belong to all of us. At Women Working Worldwide, we’re committed to ensuring that women workers, particularly those in global supply chains, can access and claim their rights to fair treatment, safe working conditions, and equality. Women are often disproportionately affected by human rights violations, especially in sectors where exploitative practices persist. That’s why we work tirelessly to empower women through advocacy, training, and partnerships, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are upheld. This year, we invite you to support our mission. Whether it’s through a donation or simply sharing our work, your actions make a difference. 💡 Ways to support us: Donate directly: https://lnkd.in/gEqtA7R Donate while you shop online: Give as You Live Purchase cards that give back: Making a Difference Cards Every contribution counts. Together, we can create fairer workplaces and brighter futures for women worldwide. Let’s stand together for human rights today and every day. #HumanRightsDay #WomenWorkingWorldwide #FairWorkForAll #SupportHumanRights

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women
Every 10 minutes a woman is killed by an intimate partner or family member. Violence against women and girls can and must be prevented. Each of us can make a difference through small yet impactful actions —speaking out against abuse, recognizing the signs of toxic relationships, supporting survivors, and challenging victim-blaming attitudes. ➡️ Scroll through to learn more on Monday's International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. https://lnkd.in/dNmkEg7x #16days

Countless children worldwide, especially girls, are victims of sexual misconduct and exploitation —which is a gross violation of their rights and a global public health problem. Sexual exploitation is also a grave aspect of human trafficking deeply impacting girls. Every girl deserves a childhood free from fear & harm. Monday is World Day for the Prevention of and Healing from Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Violence. https://lnkd.in/gX3Sx2kv —via UN Women

The International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on 25 November is the start of 16 Days of Activism, running until Human Rights Day on 10 December. The Minns Labor Government has passed new laws to better protect victim-survivors of domestic and family violence, and I thank the tireless advocates and support services providers in our local Prospect Electorate and across Western Sydney for the incredible work they do in our community. We're investing $245.6 million to improve support for domestic and family violence victim-survivors, improve bail laws and justice system responses, and expand programs that reduce violence against women and children.
