The menopause is much more than hot flushes. Some symptoms are not nearly as well known and can cause women to have health anxiety and fears - such as thinking brain fog were the early sign of dementia. Here's a click through showing some of the lesser known symptoms. Do any of these seem familiar? #menopause #menopauseatwork #menopauasematters

We provide science backed, personalised perimenopause & menopause advice to help women resolve their symptoms.
About us
WomenWise offer bespoke perimenopause and menopause support with detailed recommendations that make a real difference as they are based on your biochemistry, genetics and lifestyle. Our unique set of tests tell us how to help you. Our tests reveal why you are feeling like you do - and our experts give you the answers you need. WomenWise is a midlife MOT. We give women a holistic, personalised plan including nutrition, supplements, exercise, sleep and stress management. Women don't need to suffer, or not feel like themselves, during perimenopause. What we need is to find solutions that will work for our individual biological makeup and our lifestyles. That's why general advice is a good start but what makes the real difference is personalised advice. How we work: individualised support We’ve drawn on the very latest evidence-based menopause knowledge and worked in collaboration with experienced Doctors and Nutritional Therapists to create a totally new level of menopause support. To unlock your individual insights, we look at your biochemistry, targeted genes and the choices you make every day (for example, what you eat and drink, how you exercise and deal with stress). We gather this key information via focused at-home tests and a proprietary questionnaire to find out what makes you unique. Our experts then design a bespoke toolkit to help you thrive rather than simply survive through this time. You'll understand how to optimise HRT for your body if that's your preference or how to support your hormonal changes without replaced sex hormones. You'll know which foods work for you, how to best exercise and which supplements will support your body and, as importantly, which ones to avoid. We offer a free one to one consultation to discuss your symptoms and which of our unique testing kits is right for you. Resolve your symptoms including weight gain, brain fog, anxiety, sleep problems, exhaustion and night sweats. Contact us to book a free 1:1 consultation.

Let's talk about anxiety, menopause and work. Anxiety is an unpleasant & common symptom in menopause. It can creep up slowly or hit you suddenly and leaves you feeling fearful, tense and overwhelmed. Physical symptoms associated with anxiety include an elevated heart rate, heart palpitations, shaking, chest pains, sweating and feelings of nausea. At its extreme, anxiety can become a panic attack. These symptoms can be scary and upsetting - causing even more anxiety. One of the places this shows up for women is at work. Women who had previously been more than capable of handling stressful work situations are considering taking a step back, reducing their hours and even giving up because they are experiencing overwhelming symptoms such as anxiety. Other women find they are more anxious driving and commuting. It doesn't have to be this way and there are solutions. What are the causes? There are many causes of menopausal anxiety. One is the link between oestrogen levels and serotonin, another is that between progesterone and GABA (which calms the brain reducing overthinking and worry). Too much cortisol can make us anxious too. What are the solutions? For many women, HRT can resolve symptoms. If you can't take HRT there are other levers we can pull to help you support your GABA and cortisol levels. Our testing kits will show us what is happening in your body. Self help really can play a role in alleviating some symptoms. Some women find that breathwork can help. Making sure you have a daily walk (when it finally stops raining) - it's worth making that kind of exercise a non negotiable commitment. If you are struggling with feelings of anxiety and would like to talk more about how our tests can help you understand what's happening in your body - book a 30 minute free consultation (no obligation) with one of our experts. The menopause is inevitable. Suffering isn't. #menopause #menopausematters #anxiety

Perhaps you've tried talking to your GP about your symptoms. Perhaps you're on HRT but it's not been the silver bullet you hoped it would be. Perhaps you've got a symptom that is worrying you or getting you down. If you didn't get the answers you needed you are not alone. We hear from loads of women who are relying on friends, influencers and blogs to understand their symptoms better because they simply can't get the relief they need. If this is you - join us this Friday, from 2pm to 3pm ask expert Sarah, anything about your (peri) menopause symptoms. Whatever your query, concern or issue about your symptoms or options, you can ask us. Our drop ins are informal, confidential and supportive. Simply bring along your menopause questions (and even tell a friend). We are here to help. Our Zoom link is in our Instagram bio - or message us to let us know you're interested and we'll DM you the link. Hope to see you there. #menopausematters #menopause #menopausatwork

This is something we hear a lot from our customers and one of the reasons we are so determined to help women understand the underlying causes of their symptoms - and more importantly - resolve them. "The mother-of-two was in her mid-40s when she first began experiencing symptoms of perimenopause. She suffered with night sweats, heart palpitations and migraines that left her feeling weak and lethargic. She struggled to focus at work, and dreaded attending the regular meetings that were part of her job as a recruitment specialist. "I lost all my confidence. I thought I wasn't good at anything," she says." https://lnkd.in/gJZHxFBs #menopauseatwork #menopause #menopausematters Victoria Keith-Roach
