The world is moving towards a gradual energy transition, with oil and gas demand projected to be 5% higher than previously estimated. This increase represents the need for additional resources comparable to the entire US Permian basin for oil and another Australia for gas. The upstream sector faces a challenge, as meeting this demand requires significant investment. Join this month's Horizons Live webinar for an in-depth discussion of these insights.

  • On Tuesday, Tiantian Zhao, Hydrogen & Derivatives Consultant at Wood Mackenzie, spoke at a private symposium hosted by the Hydrogen Energy Industry Chain Global Development Alliance. Tiantian addressed the opportunities and challenges faced by Chinese #hydrogen companies as they venture into international markets. She also highlighted the necessity of pinpointing accessible markets and securing reliable projects for successful global expansion. With China currently holding about 60% of the world's electrolyser manufacturing capacity, it is poised to maintain this lead by establishing most of the new capacity in the coming years. This impressive manufacturing capability allows for significant reductions in project costs, attracting interest from European developers while raising concerns for European OEMs. Discover more insights in our report, where we delve into China's electrolyser market and its potential to transform hydrogen production by lowering costs.
