Tech workers are the happiest and the most engaged in Australia, according to new global data. WorkL's latest annual report shows the technology sector has the best employee engagement, which is measured on six factors including reward and recognition, information sharing and empowerment. "Happiness at work is something that employers now understand to be inextricably linked with success," WorkL founder Mark Price told The Australian. The report revealed employees were likely to leave their employers if they lacked career development opportunities, and mental health was a key concern for workers aged 25 to 34.
