💛 A Huge Thank You! 💛 We are delighted to announce that, thanks to your generosity during this year’s Big Give Christmas Challenge, we’ve raised an incredible £83,344! Your support will provide critical resources—diagnosis, treatment, medicines, hospital transport, and family accommodations—for children with cancer in Asia. These are lifesaving interventions that make a profound impact on families who would otherwise be unable to access care. We are deeply grateful to each and every one of you who donated, shared, and supported our cause. Together, we are transforming the lives of thousands of children experiencing cancer. Thank you for being a part of this journey with us. 🌟 #ChristmasChallenge #WorldChildCancer

Every child with cancer, wherever they live in the world, should have equal access to the best possible treatment & care
About us
World Child Cancer’s vision is to see a world where every child with cancer has access to the best possible treatment and care. Our mission is to improve cancer diagnosis, treatment and palliative care for children in low and middle income countries, tackling the global inequality in the treatment of childhood cancer. We do this by establishing twinning partnerships linking hospitals in the developing world with hospitals in the developed world to provide a two-way transfer of expertise and skills to create locally appropriate solutions to the problem of childhood cancer in each country. This expertise and knowledge sharing is generously donated for free by our network of dedicated healthcare professionals.

At World Child Cancer, we recently convened a Strategy Stakeholder meeting with partners and collaborators to shape our future strategy under the theme “Locally Led, Globally Connected.” This session was an important step in advancing our mission to improve survival rates, care, and quality of life for children with cancer and their families, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. The discussions focused on World Child Cancer's four strategic pillars: Early and accurate diagnosis Improved treatment and care Holistic family support Advocacy for sustainable change A sincere thank you to all participants who shared their valuable insights, expertise, and perspectives. Your input has been instrumental in refining our approach and ensuring our work reflects the diverse needs of children, families, and communities affected by childhood cancer. Our work is aligned with the goals of the Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer, which seeks to increase global childhood cancer survival rates to 60% and save an additional one million lives by 2030. This initiative emphasises strengthening healthcare systems, building capacity for timely diagnosis and treatment, and advocating for the inclusion of childhood cancer care in national health strategies. These goals resonate strongly with our vision of a world where every child with cancer has access to the highest quality care and support. This consultation is just the beginning. We are committed to working collaboratively with our partners and stakeholders to ensure that children everywhere receive the care they need to survive and thrive. If you’d like to get involved with our work, this week is the Big Give Christmas Challenge—a fantastic opportunity to double your impact for children with cancer.
