🌟 Week 6 of our University of Central Lancashire Heading into the Games Industry Q&A series and we were delighted to welcome Wushu Studios Ian Farnan to our games studio 🌟 Ian, thanks ever so much for your studio visit – wonderful to see you, great to hear all about your role in the industry and the published games you have worked on. So reassuring to see the support available for changing roles and inspiring to discover the opportunities for young graduates. Here’s what our students had to say: “Today’s panel was amazing, I really enjoyed how candid Ian was when he presented, it made it easy to listen, the information was incredibly helpful also, it really helped me understand what a technical designer is, it was great to hear about avenues of the industry I had never thought about before and it was a joy to talk to him afterwards about how ADHD is dealt with within the industry.” - Bradley Wilson Year 2 “Great insight into the Tech Design component of development, along with his journey into and through the industry. It was especially interesting to hear how he changed his focus on intended specialisation.” - Luke Wynne Year 2 “The talk with Ian I felt was necessary for the second year to hear his journey. As we are deciding our discipline, it's nice to hear that if it doesn't work out well, we can always change and still do well. Ian’s passion towards showing a message but in a meaningful and most engaging way definitely shows his passion and determination.” - Emily Nichol Year 2 “I liked his talk as he had some valuable insights into technical design, and him being from UCLan was inspiring as we could see his journey from the classroom to in industry.” – James McNamara Year 2 Thanks to Lauren Sears for organising and Wushu Studios for taking part once again in our Q&A series 👏 😁 Tomorrow we are looking forward to a fun live demo with the Lucid Games Ltd Animation Team Kristjan Zadziuk Hollie Newsham Sarah Akers showcasing how they utilise the Xsens suit from opening the box to suiting up, capturing the data and exporting it for usage 🌟 exciting!!!! #gamesindustry #inspiring #student #careerambitions
