With assistance from our supply chain partner, Curtis Painting Group Ltd who donated paint and volunteered time, we have painted the shelter at Abereistedd promenade. It looks fantastic with its new blue colours! Inspire to Build 🔨   Wynne Construction, as a member of the North Wales Regional Skills Partnerships Construction Cluster Group, was involved in the creation of the pilot scheme "Inspire to Build" - an educational programme developed for Year 12/13 pupils from the five secondary schools on Anglesey, aimed to encourage them to study technical construction-related degrees and introduce the new Llywodraeth Cymru / Welsh Government degree apprenticeship funding.   Working in partnership with Uchelgais Gogledd Cymru | Ambition North Wales, CITB and other contractors within the cluster group, the programme, hosted by Grŵp Llandrillo Menai once a week, successfully provided the pupils with an engaging and valuable experience of the construction sector. During the 6-week course, each contractor focused on different roles within the industry covering quantity surveying, construction management and civil engineering. The group attended the sessions outside of school hours to undertake group tasks, workshops and a site visit.   We led the final session on Week 6 offering an insight into digital technologies, BIM and challenged the pupils with a programme management task to develop their strategy and planning skills.   Thank you to the social value and design team members from Wynne for supporting this excellent initiative.   #Education #Collaboration #Construction #TeamWork

What a fantastic initiative! Our social value and site team has been working closely with Itec Skills and Employment to provide work experience for two young people on our Sunnyside Wellness Village site in Bridgend. We are currently building 59 new homes and a health centre for our client Linc Cymru. We are really pleased to have supported this collaboration and been able to provide a site-based opportunity for Riley and Kian, who are gaining hands-on experience, confidence and developing skills on a daily basis, whilst exploring their career options in the construction industry. Food Bank Collection Day 🎁 For the last few weeks Wynne have been collecting donations from our staff and site teams to support our local communities for a food bank donation. We have selected a couple food banks this year to support local communities in both North Wales and South Wales, and the generous donations from our staff and site teams will be going towards fighting hunger this festive season. Insite Session Our site in Pontllanfraith where we are building the Vulnerable Learners Centre and Sports Hall for Caerphilly County Borough Council hosted an Insite Session in collaboration with Acorn by Synergie, Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Maximus UK and Caerphilly Employability Teams. The session encouraged local unemployed people to explore construction as a career pathway and ask questions about the steps to take to get into the field. The participants who attended were inspired by their visit and many of them are now seeking to make their next steps into employment or secure work experience placements. A massive thank you to our site teams for hosting such a lovely group! #Careers #Construction #Employability
