Meet another one of our members... 👋 Christine Estima is a Canadian author and freelance writer (whose debut book The Syrian Ladies Benevolent Society dropped in 2023!) 📖 She is lucky enough to be a dual citizen with Portugal so her time here earlier in the year was more than a trip, it was a cultural homecoming. She was delighted to learn just how many opportunities for community Lisbon offered: writing groups, book launches, community journaling, writing clubs, literary salons… she even got up on stage at a #StorytellingLisboa event to share a true story from her life. Chris made tons of friends at the English language bookstores (check out Salted Books and Fable Lisbon!), the Storytelling Lisboa community and of course, Yon 🖤 Creatively inspired by the city, she began drafting her new book-length manuscript while patroning some of the many gorgeous cafes in Lisbon.
