Since last summer, Young’s has been working with a multi-stakeholder partnership from the Nephrops fishing industry and supply chain, supported by Seafish. 🦞 Together, we have laid out plans to drive improvements in the management of UK Nephrops fisheries, through the continuation of the Nephrops Fishery Improvement Project (FIP). The Nephrops FIP applied to the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Improvement Program in December and is currently under review. An update on the application is expected soon. Taste of Asia has brought exciting, bold flavours to consumers – attracting 50,000 new shoppers to the frozen category. 🎣Our Chip Shop brand launched its new Jumbo Cod, inspired by the generous portions of one of the nation’s favourite takeaways and offering customers a delicious and affordable ‘fakeaway’. Our team at Young’s House in Grimsby have received royal recognition for their fantastic fundraising efforts 🤝 Teresa Cass and Amy Wilkinson received an official letter from Queen Camilla after they raised over £1,100 for the Women's Aid North East Lincolnshire from their charity bake sale. The team at Young’s House have now raised close to £10,000 for a host of worthy causes in 2023 and 2024 – a phenomenal amount 👏

Earlier this year, we launched Young’s Gastro Taste of Asia range, drawing inspiration from the vibrant flavours of Korea, Japan, and Thailand, and the response from consumers has been phenomenal. 🎉 Since its debut in March, Taste of Asia has become the best-performing new range in frozen seafood, attracting over 50,000 new shoppers to the category. We recently attended the Global Seafood Alliance’s Responsible Seafood Summit in St Andrew’s. Group CSR Manager, William Davies spoke at the Summit’s Fishery Improvement Projects (FIPs) Panel, which asked the question, ‘How can fisheries engaged in FIPs fit into seafood procurement policies long-term?’. The FIPs panel was a fantastic opportunity to talk about the range of FIPs we support at Young’s, our responsible sourcing framework, Fish for Life, and our work to foster innovation throughout our supply chain. The Responsible Seafood Summit was an insightful and valuable event, where we were able to hear perspectives from leaders in the industry on topics including sustainability, trade, ethics and people. 📢We’re excited to announce our biggest ever scampi relaunch! 📢 With a history and heritage in scampi going back over 75 years, we’re proud to be the nation’s favourite supermarket scampi brand. Following a huge consumer-led project, we’re launching our improved recipe scampi into retailers this month. Young’s scampi products now feature improved quality, with a coarser crumb that is optimised for air fryer cooking, as well as improvements to the fish to crumb ratio. But don’t just take our word for it…independent testing has shown that across the range, nearly three quarters of consumers preferred the new recipe products to the original versions.
