ICYMI, we launched perhaps our most powerful message to date, that our youngest learners do not have access to the movement, activity and sport that they need to thrive. We're on a mission to empower all parents and early years settings to ensure that all young people get the physical activity that they need to learn better and lead happier and healthier lives. Building connections, tackling inequalities: Highlights from our Learning Academy Connect Day 2024 Yesterday, we came together at Holywell Park, Loughborough, for the Learning Academy Connect Day 2024, a celebration of connection, learning, and action under the theme of Tackling Inequalities. From our opening address by the incredibly inspiring Youth Sport Trust alumni Lois Page, to CEO Ali Oliver powerful State of the Nation address and inspiring keynote from Azeem Rafiq, we explored the urgent need to break down barriers and create opportunities for every young person to thrive. Our workshops delved into impactful themes: 👉 Tackling inequalities through data to close the gaps in participation. 👉 Embedding intersectionality into our training and programs. 👉 Empowering Athlete Mentors and developing a new leadership framework. It was incredible to connect with changemaker businesses like Kingswood Learning and Leisure Group Ltd, Enrich Education, and Sports Directory, who share our mission to enrich the lives of young people through sport and play. As we reflect on the day, one message stands out: to achieve equity, we must act with intention, courage, and collaboration. Here’s to tackling inequalities together. 💡✨ What was your key takeaway from the day? Let us know in the comments! #YSTLearningAcademyConnectDay24
