🏴 Happy St Andrew's Day from all at Zonal. Zonal is extremely proud to be a Scottish family-owned business, with a story decades in the making. Our founder, Ralph McLean, ran the family’s hotel near Edinburgh, and in 1979, he decided to solve the problem of shortfalls in stock and takings. The EPoS system he invented was spotted by the famed brewer Scottish & Newcastle, who persuaded him to adapt it for their entire pub estate – where it gave both site managers and head office a level of information that had never been available before. It wasn’t long before Scottish & Newcastle were joined by other big names. We’re still a family business with four family members on the board, including our CEO, Stuart McLean whose passion for our customers is exemplified in our company culture and values.
