Vacancy – Account Manager

Place of work – Field-based with regular travel to customer locations, Farplants offices and growing sites.

Full-time – 37.5 Hours per week

Annual Leave – 21 Days

Salary   £40,000 per annum


Farplants Sales Ltd, one of the leading suppliers of outdoor plants to garden centres across the UK, has a great opportunity for a Garden Centre Account Manager to join our highly motivated and progressive team at Farplants.

This critical and exciting role will manage Farplants Garden Centre customers across a defined area, predominantly in the South East of England. It is vital in maintaining and developing our industry-leading position in this sales channel.


We are looking for a genuine and authentic candidate who can continue our positive, collaborative and progressive culture, and who will continue to push for excellence in all we do across the department and business as a whole.

You will be passionate about horticulture and working with your customers to maximise our and their sales and sell through while feeding back customer perspectives and ideas.


Key Responsibilities:

-       Managing your defined area to maximise sell-through of Farplants Products for our growers and your customers alike.

-       Meeting and exceeding your agreed sales targets to ensure that we are maximising sell-through for our growers and your customers alike.

-       Collaboratively working with the entire sales department to ensure that customers are being well-serviced and are being offered the right products at the right time.

-       Sourcing new business within your area, opening new accounts and maximising the long-term sales from them.

-       Regularly analysing sales and trends to advise your customers on the best product selection for them at the right time.

-       A leading light in furthering the Farplants brand with your customers and across the industry.

-       Ensuring that all supporting administrative tasks are undertaken and completed in a timely manner.

-       Attending regular sales meetings, trade shows and networking events, in line with our annual meeting and events programme.

This is a genuinely exciting role which has a good mix of organising, managing, working within an experienced team, working independently, with a co-operative who is full of passionate and professional experts.
