Title: M&A Analyst

Location: London

SE11045

Finatal is pleased to be working with a private equity-backed pharmaceutical business that is seeking a highly capable M&A Analyst to support its strategic acquisition efforts. The company has a healthy deal pipeline and is focused on pursuing acquisitions that align closely with its long-term vision, rather than undertaking an aggressive buy-and-build approach.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates currently working in deal advisory, transaction services, corporate finance, or investment banking who are ready to step up into a more hands-on M&A role. Prior exposure to the pharma sector is not required, but an interest in learning about the space will be beneficial. The key is a strong analytical skillset, exceptional attention to detail, and the ambition to deepen your M&A experience within a high-growth, PE-backed environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the identification and evaluation of potential acquisitions by conducting financial analyses, market research, and preliminary valuations.

• Assist in coordinating cross-functional due diligence processes, working closely with financial, legal, commercial, and operational advisors.

• Contribute to the preparation of investment committee materials, synthesizing key findings into clear, concise recommendations.

• Help build and maintain financial models to assess target performance, strategic fit, and potential synergies.

• Collaborate with senior team members and target management throughout the transaction process to ensure smooth execution.

Requirements:

• Experience in deal advisory, transaction services, corporate finance, or investment banking, with exposure to M&A or transaction-related projects.

• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and external advisors.

• Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple workstreams.

• A genuine interest in the pharmaceutical sector and the private equity environment, paired with the drive to advance your M&A expertise.

This is a compelling opportunity for a motivated individual to take the next step in their career. You’ll gain hands-on transaction experience and grow alongside a dynamic team committed to making strategic acquisitions that will shape the company’s future trajectory.
