Are you a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with a passion for voice and video solutions? This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a large-scale environment supporting 70,000 users. Join a team responsible for delivering real-time voice and video services, including Microsoft Teams, external PSTN integration, and Genesys Contact systems across 40+ contact centres. In this role, you’ll oversee the design and implementation of these critical services, driving innovation and adapting to emerging technologies.

What You’ll Do

• Design, implement, administer, and support infrastructure technologies and solutions, including compute, storage, networking, cloud, physical infrastructure, COTS, and open-source packages.
• Review systems designs to ensure appropriate technology selection, resource efficiency, and system integration.
• Define integration builds, coordinate activities, and support integration testing.
• Investigate patterns and trends to resolve issues, consulting specialists as needed, and implement fixes and preventative measures.
• Manage resolution activities, monitor progress, and provide user updates.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers, contributing to their appraisal and performance management.
• Create implementation documentation to enable others to operate built or managed solutions.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for voice and video communications.
• Maintain relationships with technical teams and users, building trust, gathering insights, and setting priorities.

What You’ll Bring

• Dissecting a problem into its component parts to identify and diagnose root causes, allowing problem resolution (lead essential criteria)
• Providing direction and coaching to more junior members
• Managing and delivering complex technologies within time, cost and quality targets
• Agile development and continuous integration principles
• Maintaining focus on the whole life cycle of service delivery; from design, development, and delivery through to operation
• The technical concepts required in your role and an ability to build solutions
