About us
Ayrshire Hospice has been the sole provider of specialist palliative care across Ayrshire & Arran for over 30 years. Now we really need your help to ensure that we can keep delivering our services for the next generations. We are launching our Capital Build Project with the aim of raising £13 million to create a hospice fit for the future and able to meet the needs of our patients, their carers, their families, in an environment that supports care, dignity and respect for the needs of the individual. Our building is failing us structurally and we need to urgently rebuild and renovate the Racecourse Road site before it is deemed not fit for purpose. This £13m project will enable us to revolutionise our environment, improve our level of care for patients and families, reinvigorating our educational and community access facilities and provide a hub of expertise which equally importantly allow us to expand our reach to all Ayrshire & Arran residents who wish to remain in their own homes to receive palliative care.

What a difference a year makes! 🌟 ⚒️ As our Capital Build Project takes shape, it’s incredible to see the progress at our traditional home on Racecourse Road, Ayr. Thanks to a couple of new camera angles, this time lapse video shows the scale of the redevelopment project we’re undertaking. You can now distinguish the private patios that will come from each of the 12 bedrooms within our In-Patient Unit. These will be large enough for the bed to be wheeled outside, allowing our patients to spend time outside enjoying the fresh air. 🍃 Help us build the future 👉 https://bit.ly/3XH8f6j

We recently reached a major milestone of our Capital Build Project known as Topping Out. ⚒️ A historic construction tradition, topping out is when a project structure reaches its highest point which, for the Hospice, is the steel frame of our redeveloped In-Patient Unit. 🏗️ Now this is in place, our contractors can build around our frame and we’ll see the construction really take shape – which is very exciting! 💜 Help us build the future 👉 https://bit.ly/3BFd6ty
