Last week we hosted colleagues from across the single-family housing and wider property sector to a Spotlight on Single-Family Housing, which Casa by Moda hosted on behalf of BE News. Held at our sister company Moda’s newest BTR neighbourhood – Moda, Loudon’s Yard – guests braved the snow and travelled from all corners of the country and packed out the room for a morning focused on the fast-growing sector, sharing challenges and learnings from across the board. Our Development and Project Director kicked things off with an update on Casa by Moda’s exciting progress, along with some words from our investment partner @Ares Management from @James Hallett and the partnership between our businesses. The morning also included an insightful snapshot of the sector’s progress from Iain Murray and a brilliant talk from RBT Housing Commission Chair Alexandra Notay on her paper for housing reform. BE News Editor-in-Chief Liz Hamson rounded things off with a stellar panel line up including David Mawson, Elizabeth Williams, Justin Harley, Charlotte Ward, Paul Langford from Birmingham City Council and Jamie Younger, before attendees tucked into lunch from local independent caterer Artisan Epicurean. Our new Yorkshire neighbourhoods Casa, Abbey Court and Casa at Westmoor Grange are featured on p41 as an example of best-in-class single family developments paving the way for the market one community at a time. We ended last week on a high with Casa, Vista Parks seasonal resident event! 🍕🔥🚚   Featuring delicious pizza options freshly made by Glasgow locals – The Woodfired Guys, we brought our Vista Park residents together, including those who’ve recently moved into the fourth phase of the neighbourhood this September. 👋   We also celebrated the launch of a new community area next to our existing Little Free Library.
