In 2023, the UK Government introduced the Procurement Act 2023, which is set to take effect on 24 February 2025. The new legislation is by no means an overhaul of the current processes, but there certainly are some key differences. As businesses prepare for the new legislation to be enforced, we will explore the impact of these changes on contracting authorities and suppliers. Rafi Azim-Khan, Partner and Head of Digital Law, Europe, discussed AI and Data Privacy issues with Max Schrems and other thought leaders last week. A head-to-head discussion at the Privacy Perspectives expert panel event covered critical topics such as the AI Act, DMCC, ePD, and emerging legal challenges and fines.
