Rap duo Krept & Konan have made their retail debut, opening a brand-new supermarket. Saveways – a new 15,000 sq ft site on Beddington Lane – will open on Saturday, 1 February. It has been founded to “fill a gap” in Croydon's grocery offer by tailoring its offer to specifically serve the needs of Black, Asian and ethnic communities, prioritising customer experience and affordability. The store will specialise in premium halal produce as well as world foods. 🏊Croydon Council has received revised plans for Purley Pool and Leisure Centre redevelopment In response to a series of public exhibitions and workshops, Polaska, the long-term leaseholders and developer, has revised and resubmitted proposals for a new leisure centre, a later living housing scheme, shops and a new public square.
